Unless the tasks you have in mind are more than a half-ton truck is designed to handle, it’s hard to think of what you can’t do with the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Limited. An industry-first power up/down tailgate, a best-in-class 2,523 litres of standard cargo volume, and 12 standard fixed tie-downs are just three examples of how capable, versatile, and flexible this awesome truck really is. flexibility and capability. Of course, the Silverado is a great work truck for getting the job done in Regina, Moose Jaw, Emerald Park, or anywhere in Southern Saskatchewan. Still, it can also fulfill a wide variety of other roles that means it can be all the vehicle you need for any occasion.
Depending on whether you want a rear-drive or four-wheel-drive pickup truck, the 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited is available in five or eight different trim levels. Rear-wheel-drive versions of the Silverado are available in the entry-level WT (Work Truck) trim, and from there the range goes to Custom, LT, RST, and top-of-the-range WTZ. But if four-wheel drive is what you want and need, the range still starts with the WT, but after that, you have a choice of Custom, LT, RST, Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss, and LTZ, and then the range-topping model is the High Country.
You can have your new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Limited with any one of four different powerplants under its hood, but the naturally aspirated base V-6 is no longer one of them. Instead, the superb 2.7-litre turbo-four is now the standard Silverado 1500 powerplant, and it provides the truck with a very useful 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque. If more power is required, the next engine option is a 5.3-litre V-8 that ups the power ante to 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque.
If that’s still not enough for what you need, the most powerful engine available is the awesome 6.2-litre V-8 which puts a mighty 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque at your disposal. However, if you’re planning on regularly doing heavy towing up to the truck’s maximum ratings, you’ll probably want to give serious consideration to the last of the four engine options which is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel that develops 277 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. The standard 2.7 and the 5.3-litre V-8 come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission but a 10-speed unit is an option for the 5.3-litre V-8, and it’s standard with the 6.2-litre gas V-8 and turbodiesel engines.
Just about every truck feature you’ve ever heard of or come across in the past is available for the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited, and there are probably at least one or two at the moment that might even be completely new to you.
Even the most workmanlike WT trim level comes with climate control, auto stop/start, the StabiliTrak stability control system, a six-speaker sound system, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Bluetooth phone connectivity and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The more practical aspects of truck ownership are obviously extremely well catered for with the likes of the available Multi-Flex Tailgate for all eight trim levels that boast six different functions to make loading, unloading, and accessing the cargo bed as easy as possible. And as far as comfort and luxury are concerned, the range-topping High Country is something to behold with its premium Bose sound system, perforated leather upholstery, wireless phone projection, and charging, and plenty more besides.
The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Limited is a full-size, light-duty pickup truck that looks the part, delivers all the practicality you could wish for, and can also be as comfortable and lavishly equipped as most luxury sedans and SUVs.
